Privacy policy

1. What we collect

Our estimate form asks for:

• your name and phone number
• your email address, if you give it
• your address or town, if you give it
• the service you need, such as new gutters or a repair

When you send it, Netlify, the company that hosts this site, also records the date and time, your device’s internet (IP) address, the browser you use and the page you sent it from. The form also notes how you found this site, such as a Google search or our Facebook page.

2. How we use it

We use what you send to contact you about your estimate:

• to call or email you back
• to set a time to come out and look at the job
• to give you a price
• to keep in touch about the work, if you hire us

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with other companies for their marketing.

3. Cookies and tracking

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and to see how people find us, for example from a Google search or our Google listing, and when someone taps our phone number or email or sends the estimate form. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell one visit from another, and Google handles that data under its own privacy policy. You can turn it off by blocking cookies in your browser or with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The site has no advertising tools on it.

4. The services that run the site

Netlify hosts this site and stores the forms you send for us. It checks each form for spam with Akismet, a spam filter. Google Analytics, a Google service, counts the visits.

The photos, the fonts and the office map all load from this site too, not from Google or any other company.

Some links lead to other companies’ sites, such as Google Maps (the Get directions button), our Google reviews, and our Facebook and Instagram pages. Those companies only hear from you if you click, and their own privacy policies apply there.

5. Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to keep what you send us safe. The site uses a secure (https) connection, so the form is encrypted on its way to Netlify. Still, nothing sent over the internet is completely secure.

6. Your rights

You can contact us at any time to ask what we have about you, or to ask us to delete it.

You also choose what to send. We only need your name, phone number and the service. Your email and address are up to you.
